The Security Department is committed to providing a high level of professional court security service to the judges, staff, and the great citizens of our beloved state.
Our department understands that in order to be successful, we must work closely with the judicial branch community as well as local stakeholders in an effort to strengthen trust and reduce threats and acts of violence. Our department works constantly to improve efficiencies through the use of the problem-oriented policing philosophy, effective technological strategies and innovative approaches, in order to provide safety and security services in the most professional manner. We accomplish this through strong partnerships and excellence in policing.
The department recruits, hires, trains, assigns, and supervises Court Security Officers (CSOs) in 28 state-wide Circuit Court locations and the NH Supreme Court.
If you or someone you know is the subject of any threat in a courthouse please report it to a Court Security Officer, a Court Security Supervisor, or the Court Security Manager.
