Judicial Branch Announces Laura Kiernan as Interim Communications Manager

CONCORD, NH—The Judicial Branch is pleased to announce that Laura Kiernan, who established the court's public information office and served as Director of Communications, will return to the branch as interim communications manager on November 4 following the departure of the current Communications Manager, Susan Warner, who has taken a new position.

   "We are very grateful to Susan for all of her work on behalf of the Judicial Branch. We are also grateful to have the benefit of Laura's deep experience as we move forward with our efforts to communicate with the public and enhance understanding of New Hampshire's judicial system," said Chief Justice Gordon J. MacDonald.

   Laura previously supervised media relations and outreach programs for the court system for more than a decade. Before joining the court system, she worked in print and broadcast media, including many years as a reporter for both The Boston Globe and The Washington Post, specializing in coverage of federal and state courts and the legal profession. A longtime resident of Concord, she holds a Master of Studies in Law from Yale Law School where she was a Ford Foundation fellow.
